In improver to bitters, Dashfire is distinguishing itself in the set up-to-pour potable world. It's not surprising considering Dashfire founder/co-owner Lee Egbert is besides co-owner of xi Wells Spirits Visitor in St. Paul and knows a thing or two about spirits.

Lately, Egbert has put all his attention on his Dashfire brand, where he has expanded the label to include set-to-drink cocktails. "I've been focusing on Dashfire," Egbert said. "It'south my baby."

A few months ago, Dashfire launched its first high-end, ready-to-pour cocktail with the Dashfire Bourbon Old Fashioned. We couldn't get over how much the cocktail out of a bottle tasted as if your favorite bartender had paid careful attention to mixing up your drink.

The loftier-proof (read boozy) cocktail made with bourbon whiskey and Dashfire bitters is everything you look from the classic drink and more than, thanks to complex bitters. Information technology's the bottle you'll want to have handy when peckish this cocktail but don't desire to bother measuring, peeling and mixing ingredients.

This week, Dashfire added v more than prepare-to-drink cocktails to its lineup — Fig & Cascara Manhattan, Lemon & Lavender Martini, Chai White Russian, Elderflower Martinez and Pomegranate El Presidente.

The finished cocktails can be found at area liquor stores (see list beneath) and come up in two sizes — single-serving cans and 750-milliliter bottles. Each cocktail, mixed and ready to drink, besides comes with labels that requite suggestions on drinkware and recommended garnishes.

We tried two of the new varieties — the Manhattan and Martini. Like the One-time Fashioned, they were a mix of archetype and complex. We particularly appreciated the idea put into the Manhattan with its fig, cacao, raisins and a medley of bitters.

Information technology'southward worth noting that, similar the One-time Fashioned, both drinks from the new lineup have a high alcohol content. That's on purpose, Egbert said. They aren't political party cocktails, just those to have at your leisure. "They're meant for sipping," he said.
